Barbara J. (Mazerski) Robinson

Barbara J. (Mazerski) Robinson, a native of Cambridge MA, graduated from Saint Anselm in the Class of 1969. While at Saint Anselm, she was selected as one of about 300 nursing students nationwide to be part of a US Navy program that recruited nurses for the military during the Vietnam War. After graduation, she went to Officers Training at Newport, RI, and was stationed at Naval Hospital, Boston until it closed. During her time there, she attended Nurse Practitioner training becoming one of the first NPs in Massachusetts. She then served as a Naval Reservist at South Weymouth Naval Air Station, retiring in 1987 with a rank of Commander.

At her death in January 2020, Barbara demonstrated her love and gratitude for the outstanding nursing education she received on the Hilltop by leaving a gift of $100,000 from her IRA to support the work of the nursing department.
